ACE Surgical's OGD^(TM) (OsteoGenic Distractor) System is used for monofocal alveolar and small bone distraction. The OGD^(TM) System can be used to lengthen alveolar ridges without the need for bone grafting. The unique OGD^(TM) System employs distraction osteogenesis principles to accomplish bone lengthening with a streamlined surgical procedure similar to inserting a Standard Screw Type Dental Implant. If desired, the OGD^(TM) System can be used to lengthen an area between opposing teeth using a single OGD^(TM) device, or a defined regional span using multiple OGD^(TM) devices. Once the desired monofocal bone lengthening is achieved, the OGD^(TM) device can be easily removed and replaced with a Standard Screw Type Dental Implant taking complete advantage of the newly formed bone mass.  The OGD^(TM) System comes in two diameter sizes; the 3.75mm and 4.0mm thread, and two thread engagement body lengths; the 3mm Short Body and 5mm Long Body. All of the OGD^(TM) devices are designed with a 1.75mm supergingival polished healing collar for easy distraction access eliminating the need to reopen the surgical site. The OGD^(TM) System is designed with a variety of distraction pins for obtaining an increased osteogenic bone mass between 1.0mm and 16.0mm.
